Our company may be testing a fully automated collection system in your area, in hopes of transitioning to a fully automated system in the future. You will be notified prior to such change. If you have been notified of this; the change is being made in order to facilitate a more efficient, cleaner, and neater appearance, while maintaining your current rates. This will help to keep costs lower in the future because there will be less trucks on the road, making it safer for the communities and better for the environment. NO NEED TO WORRY! The services available will not change, but the methods of providing those services will change slightly.
Because Proper Placement of the Cart is the Key to Success of this Program, We Need Your Help!
Automated Garbage collection is an efficient collection system, which has been proven to lower cost and also cut down on work-related injuries. The automated trucks have a mechanical arm that picks up and dumps the cart, which is why placement of the cart is very important.
An example of how the cart should be placed at the curb for pick up is below. Please help us follow these guidelines. (Follow the arrows on the top of the containers).
MAKE SURE THE HANDLE IS FACING TOWARD YOUR HOME AND THE CART IS WITHIN 2 FEET OF THE CURB (on major highways no further than 8 feet from the roadway). THE CART SHOULD BE AT LEAST 5 FEET FROM ANY OBSTACLE (MAILBOX, BUSH, ETC).

Here are a few helpful hints for maintaining your container: Carts should be rinsed out periodically to help maintain sanitary conditions. (A small scoop of laundry detergent put in the cart and rinsed out with the water hose from time to time works great.) If you have a damaged cart, simply call our offices (770-474-9273) and we will replace it or repair it.
**Do not be alarmed if you see only one side of the street picked up. This truck picks up on the right side of the street and then turns around and picks up the other side.
**If you have two 95 gallon containers Please place them side by side at the curb following the same instructions above.
Why the Change?
Fuel, landfill, payroll, and insurance costs are rising at record paces. If we continue operating with 3 men and a manual truck, and do not make the change, cost to the customer will eventually catch up. Then the customers end up paying for what would be our inability to adapt to the changes in our industry.
As always, our #1 priority is to provide the best service at the best price. Our goal in this transition is to make our customers happy and to make this transition as easy as possible for you.
What If All the Garbage Won’t Fit In the Can?
Remember that the lid on your garbage container does not have to be closed all the way. It can be propped open. However, if the garbage still won’t fit on a regular basis, follow the contact us link and let someone in our office know about this problem. We will find a suitable solution to this issue.
What About Bulk Waste?
As normal bulk waste is on a call in or email basis (select the contact page). We will schedule and price the pick up.
