REDUCE IT...REUSE IT...RECYCLE IT
CLM Sanitation provides a voluntary recycling program, therefore participation is not required. We pick up all recyclables co-mingled, meaning all collections go in the same truck, and then are taken to a facility that separates the items for us. Do not be alarmed when you see our employees throw the recyclables into the same truck and not separate them. Below is a list of the items we are currently accepting, and the guidelines to prepare the items.
Corrugated cardboard boxes: Please cut up and flatten all boxes, this includes moving boxes, packing boxes, etc. It does not include toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls or any type of waxed boxes.
Glass: We accept all glass. Please rinse and clean all glass and remove all tops.
Newspapers: This includes all inserts: Does not include telephone books or magazines. Newspaper must be dry.
Aluminum Drink Cans
Tin Cans: Includes food cans.
Plastics: Plastic bottles, milk jugs, and small plastic containers. Need to be cleaned out, but tops and labels can remain on them.
All items listed above need to be rinsed thoroughly of any chemicals or liquids. If recyclables are not cleaned properly or if you have items that are not recyclable in your bin, then we can not pick up your recyclables that day. Recyclable items must be placed inside the recycle bin (with the exception of a small amount of cardboard). ALL OTHER MATERIALS NOT LISTED ABOVE TELEPHONE BOOKS, MAGAZINES, ETC. SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE 95-GALLON TRASH CONTAINER ON YOUR NORMAL HOUSEHOLD TRASH DAY.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 770-716-1899. Those residents who would like to recycle or order a recycle bin, and are unsure if you are on the schedule, please contact us through the link to the left of the page or call us on the phone.
