CLM began in 1987. Our family has always wanted to own their own business and create the American dream. Early career choices for the founding family members had been in high level management of transportation. The company that we worked for sold out and we saw an opportunity to take a risk and start a company. We bought a small company (CLM) and it had 1 truck and 500 customers, and the primary area of service was Henry County, Georgia.
Our focus was on service and we developed systems to make sure that the small local family owned business mentality could continue as we grew. Through this development we have been able to buy the latest equipment, have the best maintenance facilities, staff our phones with capable managers (not just attendants), and keep the best and newest technology in computer software.
Today we span over 6 counties in the southern crescent, in each county we have the majority market share, and we are now the largest residential hauler in Georgia.
