Automated Garbage collection is an efficient collection system, which has been proven to lower cost and also cut down on work-related injuries. The automated trucks have a mechanical arm that picks up and dumps the cart, which is why placement of the cart is very important.

Because Proper Placement of the Cart is the Key to Success of this Program, We Need Your Help!

An example of how the cart should be placed at the curb for pick up is below. Please help us follow these guidelines. (Follow the arrows on the top of the containers).

MAKE SURE THE HANDLE IS FACING TOWARD YOUR HOME AND THE CART IS WITHIN 2 FEET OF THE CURB (on major highways no further than 8 feet from the roadway). THE CART SHOULD BE AT LEAST 5 FEET FROM ANY OBSTACLE (MAILBOX, BUSH, ETC).

Here are a few helpful hints for maintaining your container: Carts should be rinsed out periodically to help maintain sanitary conditions. (A small scoop of laundry detergent put in the cart and rinsed out with the water hose from time to time works great.) If you have a damaged cart, simply call our offices (770-716-1899) and we will replace it or repair it.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE YOUR CONTAINER AT THE CURB THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR PICK UP DAY

**Do not be alarmed if you see only one side of the street picked up. This truck picks up on the right side of the street and then turns around and picks up the other side.

**If you have two 95 gallon containers Please place them side by side at the curb following the same instructions above.

The cart has a serial number that has been assigned to your specific address.


What If All the Garbage Won’t Fit In the Can?

ALL WASTE SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE CART. If you have a bag or two more try to fit it in your can even if the can lid is open slightly. However, if the garbage still won’t fit on a regular basis, follow the contact us link and let someone in our office know about this problem. We will find a suitable solution to this issue.
