Extra-Pickups / Bulk Waste / Yard Debris
Bulk Waste Includes: furniture, mattresses, construction debris and other large items which cannot be placed in the cart. This also includes appliances, stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, washing machines, dryers, bagged yard debris etc.
Bulk Waste does not include: dead animals or hazardous waste.
Bulk waste will be picked up on a scheduled basis. We will price out the extra items. Please click the contact us link to schedule a pickup or to find out the price. Please list all items that you would like to have us pickup.
Keep in mind the idea of recycling these products and reducing the waste stream. If we simply throw them away, they are taken directly to the landfills. Ways we can recycle these products are:
Call the Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. When you have old clothes, furniture, or even computers and TV’s. Many times these donations are tax deductible, and it also helps out those individuals who are needy.
Yard Waste
CLM Sanitation provides yard waste pickup. However, keep in mind that the reason for separating yard waste from the garbage is to recycle and reduce the waste stream. If we truly want to recycle, try using a mulching mower instead of bagging leaves and grass, or with sticks and tree limbs try chipping them up with a personal chipper. Another idea is to purchase a composting bin from a home improvement store, and mulch your yard waste. If you still have yard trimmings to dispose of, the following are some guidelines and helpful suggestions for placing your yard waste at the curb.
Please bag all yard waste in paper bags. These bags can be found in Home Depot, Lowes, or Wal-Mart.
YARD WASTE INCLUDES:
- Grass Clippings
- Leaves
- Shrubs
- Brush
- Tree Trimmings
- Christmas Trees (please remove all decorative materials)
- Other vegetative materials generated from the personal maintenance of yards, lawns and landscaping
YARD WASTE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
- Plastic planting tubs
- Lumber
- Wooden fencing or posts
- ANY TREE REMOVAL, LAND CLEARING, OR LANDSCAPING DONE BY AN OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR. THESE CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.
Tree limbs or brush should be no more than 4 feet in length or 50 lbs. in weight. Also, it is very important to keep all other types of materials (trash, bottles, plastic, etc.) completely separated from the yard waste. Keep in mind the workers will be handling these items by hand, so try to make it manageable for them. To ensure you are on the schedule for yard waste pick up please call our office at 770-716-1899
